When I say Wasteland I’m not talking about T.S. Eliot, I’m talking about hardcore BDSM action served up at one of the hottest and longest running websites in the niche. Wasteland first found it’s way on to the internet in 1995, well over a decade later they are still going strong with daily updates and a caliber of content well-respected in BDSM circles.

The amount and variety of content at Wasteland is rather dumbfounding. Fans of S&M, BDSM, bondage, gothic, slave, water torture and much more will all find a good collection of videos and photos to placate their desires. Rather famous producers and photographers within the niche produce much of the content and for the last good while they have been adding gorgeous HD Windows Media videos and large, high-res photographs.

The site has many different sections and no unifying browser option. This makes getting an exact count of the content rather difficult. As far as unique, original content added and created by Wasteland, though, I can give you some figures. There are 178 video scenes and over 770,000 pictures to date. The length of the movies varies from a few minutes to over 20 minutes of action. Some movies are pure bondage or other fetish actions while other will throw in some hardcore sex or masturbation as well. The photos are divided into hundreds of separate galleries, many of which can be downloaded in easy to grab zip files.

Wasteland could really use an upgrade in terms of web design. New members will find it a bit hard to get the hang of. This isn’t so much because the navigation is confusing, just that the site is chopped up into dozens of different areas and there are no site-wide browse or search tools. There’s basically a sort of “table of contents” on the home page, with a handful of links under each main heading. In terms of graphics the site is pretty cool, as dark and gothic as you would expect a hardcore BDSM site to be.

There are no bonus sites included with membership at Wasteland but you do have access to dozens of other extras. Among them you will find chatrooms, forums, erotic stories (with BDSM themes), BDSM information and guides to bondage etc, articles, wallpapers, bonus galleries, BDSM product reviews… the list just goes on and on. Wasteland is well worth joining for fans of BDSM. The site goes beyond providing high quality content to offer a real dedicated community to join.
